Material:
Medium: Copper
Dimensions:
Height: 30 Inches; Width: 50 Inches; Depth: 18 Inches
Description:
"THERE IS ALWAYS A BIGGER FISH."
This one of a kind, up-cycled copper fish sculpture handcrafted with reclaimed copper electrical wire from the former famous Pabst Brewery in Milwaukee.
Perfect for your rustic fishing cabin or upscale yacht club.
A fierce lionfish-esque creature swims happily oblivious to the savage, prehistoric monster descending from above about to devour.
Small fish: 13"x9"
Large fish: 28"x22"
Copper wire meticulously bent and soldered at each joint. Free form curves sculpted into unique nautical creatures.
Not to be TOO "arty" but the copper wire truly "forms itself." This sculpture became "fish" all on it's own by guiding where it wanted to roam while heating and bending.
Two sculptures in one that would be at home behind any nautical bar or fishing cottage.
Both are currently supported by a 1X3 wood plank that is set up to hang on two ceiling mounted hooks BUT could be arranged as two separate, pole-mounted sculptures for a small, additional fee.
"You did not kill the fish only to keep alive and to sell for food, he thought. You killed him for pride and because you are a fisherman. You loved him when he was alive and you loved him after. If you love him, it is not a sin to kill him. Or is it more?" -Ernest Hemingway (The Old Man And The Sea)
