Details:
The Bartender is an immersive theatrical journey through the stories behind five classic cocktails. Guided by a charismatic bartender.
Audiences "travel" through space and time from the jazz-filled streets of New Orleans to the daring skies of World War I France and the exotic Tiki bars of mid-century California.
Each scene blends live storytelling, theatrical lighting, sound, and video with samples of iconic drinks like the Ramos Gin Fizz, French 75, and Mai Tai—creating a playful, sensory experience that celebrates the history, culture, and human stories behind the world’s most beloved cocktails.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Throughout the evening, guests will be served a tasting flight of five classic cocktails in sample-sized pours. We encourage all guests to enjoy the experience responsibly. Responsible service practices are followed at all times, and service may be declined to any guest at our discretion.
What are the cocktails?
For this production, we will explore the history and stories behind The Manhattan, The French 75, The Vesper, The Ramos Gin Fizz and The Mai Tai.
Cocktails are served as "sample flight sized" but be aware that they are "alcohol forward" classic cocktails. Please enjoy responsibly.
I don't drink, are there N.A. options?
21+ Non-alcoholic guests are welcome - bottled water is provided to everyone - but N.A. versions of the cocktails are not available.
Are under 21 guests possible if they don't drink?
No. This is strictly a 21-and-over experience. I.D.s will be checked at the door.
Is this an “audience participation” immersive event?
Not particularly. The Bartender may occasionally chat with guests but nobody will be called to the stage or singled out. This is primarily a theatrical experience with immersive, multimedia storytelling.
What is the ticket refund/exchange policy?
All tickets sales are final and exchanges are not possible.
Please be certain you can attend the date/time you purchase and arrive on time.
Late arrivals are not permitted.
Do I need to know anything about cocktails to enjoy the show?
Not at all. The Bartender is designed for everyone—from cocktail enthusiasts to people simply interested in history, storytelling, and theatrical design.
Are the drinks “real?” Watered down?
These classic cocktails are “alcohol forward” recipes with little to no “mixer” or “filler.”
They are strong and real.
Each cocktail is served as a tasting pour (about 2.25 oz) to allow you to savor all five classics over the course of the show.
Are additional drinks available to purchase?
Certain venues have additional lounge areas and a separate bar where you can enjoy full sized versions of the sample cocktails you experienced
during the event. That information will be published on that area of the website.
Is parking available?
Currently all venues booked have street parking available.
Information will be posted about parking in the specific area of the website for each booking.
Is the “theatrical lighting” strobe heavy?
Not at all. Lighting design is by Antishadows Theatrical Design – a premiere theatrical designer in the MKE area.
There may be a bit of “lightening” at the most.
Will there be fog/haze?
Yes. This production utilizes high-quality theatrical water based haze to enhance the lighting.
This is high-quality theatrical haze used in most professional venues (such as The Milwaukee Repertory Theatre) and not "Halloween store brands."
Is there an intermission for bathroom breaks?
No. While the experience has a theatrical format, we are all grown-ups and if you need a quick visit to the restroom, nobody is judging.
Is photography allowed?
Photos and video are allowed. Please no flash.
We'd love it if you shared with us! Tag away!
Is the venue accessible?
The main entrance is up a flight of exterior steps however there is an elevator entrance at the east corner of the building that is free to use.
How is seating?
Seats at all currently scheduled venues are pretty comfortable event chairs arranged in rows.
Is there a dress code?
No formal dress code, but some guests enjoy dressing in cocktail attire to match the atmosphere.
